We have published a book on “Mental retardation and Special education” which is a training manual that can be easily used by parents and family members. We have also published a Quarterly magazine in the name “Viluthugal” and few awareness posters and brochures in Tamil for the interest of the public.

Awareness Campaign

Awareness campaign is an important agenda for our institution having long-term vision over the society. We create awareness programmes about mental disability and its aspects through pamphlets, brochures, posters, stickers, handouts, rally’s, orientation seminars, workshops and camps. The main purpose of this programme is making society to be aware of the issues related to mental disability and help them accept there persons with mental disability as their own brothers and sisters.

Concern over social issues

Terrorism is a social evil that persists in and around the world during the recent past. It endangers the growth of the country and life of human beings. To propagate the essence of this danger to the society, we have organized a wonderful awareness rally on PEACE at the heart of Madurai city. Nearly 200 mentally disabled children studying in different special schools and 300 nursing college students have participated in this rally holding placards and banners.

Training the community

Educating the society is another important agenda for us. We organise various training programmes for different groups of people during regular intervals. The programme aims to enhance the manpower development, professionalism and quality management. These programmes have been organised in association with reputed Universities, Hospitals, Colleges & NGO’s at Madurai.
